#LIVE_FOR_GOD

Seeing then how limited the time we have on here is, which kind of life ought we to live? If Jesus tarries, someday in the future, the hands that type this post will be buried some meters below the earth surface and then my social media wall will never be updated again. There will be no more new post, new status or new picture update because I was done and have gone back home.

That we are going to leave this earth is not a question of “if” but rather it is a question of “when” because from the very beginning, we were not created to live forever in such a failed and dysfunctional system that the world has become.

The time is fast approaching when nothing else will matter to us in this world. We will look at all the things we labored and fought for so much and discover how irrelevant they are in Heaven’s scale of value. When the end stares us directly and up close to the face, the scales of pride and arrogance that hinders our ability to think as we ought to in this life will fall off and we’ll begin to see how stupid the fights were, yes, the fight we fought for self, to get more than your brother, to look good and paint the other person black, the hard work we put in within the church just to impress people and show them how good we are and the times we did the work of God as if we were doing someone a favor.

By then, when we look at all these, tears will run down our face because we will see how foolish it is to live for self and not for God. We will see how worthless the treasures gathered here on earth is if they are not stored and banked in Heaven, and deep within, with all sincerity like the rich man we shall wish for another chance to return and set things right. A chance to return to be insulted without being offended, to be hurt and yet loving, to be betrayed and yet faithful, to be mocked and yet joyful, to not have all we want and yet grateful, to have many unanswered questions in our lives and yet joyous in the Holy Ghost.

Oh, thank God we have the chance today to live for Him! Let live for God. Let lay aside all strife and bitterness, put away the unprofitable side talks and bickering, put away the pride and the showmanship and then humbly live completely for God.

I know the temptation to seek fame, yes, that innate natural yearning in us to be known – how good we are, how much we know and how better than the other person we are, but we need to put all that in check so we can fully live for God alone.

When I see people act and talk as if we came to impress them, seek their ascent or approval in our service to God and humanity, I laugh and say to myself “This person doesn’t know what we came for”. I can write a thousand post as inspired without your comment or like, and I will yet write the one thousand and one post because I’m not looking at how you respond to know how to serve my God. It’s like driving on a busy highway and then looking at a farmer by the road side planting maize in his farm for traffic instructions. If you do that, you are in for a suicide mission.

Work, in service to God and humanity and learn not to expect gratitude from men. In fact, you should learn not to expect gratitude and even wish for it so that the Father in His glorious way will reward you. Those sleepless nights of sacrificial labor that were never acknowledged or appreciated were never wasted; you can’t miss your rewards. They will only be wasted if you allow pride get into your head and take you to the place of complaining and resentment.

Let live for God and Him alone. No better life to live than to live for God and no better thing to do than to do His will. Many love.
