That business was running well and the place was always filled to the brim with customers especially in the evening time. The wife stays there from the morning with her sales girl while her husband goes to his work and the children went to school.
The husband comes to join in running the business in the evening when he returns from work and so does the kids as well when they return from school.
The cooperation, coordination and the family life I saw in them impressed me. Maybe, this could also be part of the reasons why many people came around to patronize them.
So it was, everything was blissful and moving well until the devil struck: there was an affair and the differences between the husband and wife became so huge that it became irreconcilable.
The woman had to relocate with the younger kids. Family torn apart, kid’s education disrupted, the peace and joy of family died and the thriving business collapsed. That their business place, that same place that bubbled with droves of customers was locked up and it surrounding seemed like the cold hands of death has taken the owners.
It was like a bomb has been dropped into the playground where all were having fun and making merry and suddenly that same spot of merriment turned to the venue of anguish and mourning. Yes, the devil has dropped a bomb into that family and someone (between the husband and the wife) helped the devil to explode it.
It doesn’t matter the weight of the bomb the devil drops into a family, if the both partners are watchful and wise enough, they will safely defuse the bomb and neutralize its devastating power.
And I ask: What is it? What is it in a few minutes of pleasure that you can sacrifice your family for? What is it? What is in that stranger that is so special for you to break your partner’s heart and kid’s childhood just to have it?
If there’s a need you have that is not being met, why not talk it over with your partner? Why not tell him/her what you desire and how you want it and meet that your need within the safe space of your matrimonial bed? Of course, you may not (always) have it fully and exactly as you want it but, if there could be compromises and adjustments from both sides your marriage can be saved, you will avoid the life changing pains, emotional traumas, and heartache you will cause your partner and your kids can grow up without the pains your escapade would have caused them and the entire family.
Think, reflect and act wisely.
