One day, you will lose that which you have at the moment. Yes, that is the harsh reality of life.
That sweet marriage will come to an end. We don’t wish for it but it is inevitable.
If you live long enough, that stature and strength will be gone. You will need help to climb a stair you once jumped over. It’s humbling but that’s life.
One day, the relationship you have with friends, family and colleagues will come to end. We don’t want to think about it but we can’t wish it away.
One day, I will be done from here and gone. You won’t see my posts and updates again because all we have here and the very life of the flesh is temporary.
Then, the only thing that will be left is memories. What I lived for, the truth I spoke and how I loved.
Many things for which we hurt ourselves and kill ourselves for won’t matter anymore and then, clearer than ever before, we will see and be reminded the purpose of life.
That life was made by God, to be lived for His glory, in loving service to God and to hurting mankind. A life lived outside of this design was wasted.
Then, physical possessions: the weight of your bank account, the academic titles acquired, the religious office occupied, how smooth the skin is and how beautiful the face is, and all that the flesh glories in will be revealed for what they really are: A TOOL AND A MEANS FOR SERVICES AND NOT AN END OR AN ACCOMPLISHMENT.
Beloved, keep this in mind and then be wise in your dealings and living. No matter what you have gathered here and how much you are loved and cherished, a day comes and approaching fast when all that will be left are memories and legacies of selfless services and sacrifices.
Finally, don’t wish this wasn’t the case because if you have trusted Jesus Christ and the finished work on Calvary, it does not end here for you. It isn’t “A painful transition” or “sorrowful exit” but “A glorious exit” and a “Joyful transition”.
